The brand new EP is out now

Taking and fragmenting the elements of the track HUMANS BROKE MY HEART
Gathering them up and reassembling in ways that might seem like a logical process if you didn't know the original shape. Finding structures that make sense in the moment. Building on the ideas random connections suggest.
Electronic - Melodic - Chaotic.
STATEMENT:
"I'm interested in the current push to make AI as convincing and as human as possible. However it feels as if no one really knows what that means. I wanted to try the reverse technique of recording as if I was trying to be an AI making sense of contradictory input trying to work out the significant data. As a songwriter I always rely on the lyrics as a start point so I ditched that - and made the EP using fragmented parts my other projects - by the end of it I really missed words - any words - so I got to thinking whether are there any statements that are both vague and definite at the same time i,e distinctly human.
I made a quick list - added them to the track that had emerged. I also wondered if there were any actions that would seem odd to an AI. Why do people scratch their heads before answering a question? Why do humans like putting pictures in frames?
I like the resulting mood as the cumulative effect of the statements read together seems to gently indicate something post human - someone or something is trying to recapture the essence of being- but has no idea what is lost. Why do they miss the rain and miss the sunshine? - what exactly has happened - is this some AI paradise or dystopia? The use of words in the EP (this is the last track) echoes the fragility of being human, serving as a reminder of, what seems to me, our current limited capacity for expression. In a world increasingly dominated by technology, where communication is often reduced to abbreviations and emojis, the increasing brevity of our words reveals the our vulnerability. It signifies the challenge we face in conveying complex emotions and experiences within the constraints of language."
