What is luck? Chances are that if you aren't thinking about it then you are lucky.

Being lucky and being unlucky are often like a spinning coin - which side do you think you can see? Which side do you focus on? Hindsight may tell you what the real story was, but maybe that is not the full story since it depends on your situation as you look back. Is it quantum? Is telling someone that you make your own luck a kind of victim blaming? Is telling someone they are lucky a way of minimising personal achievement? Or was all of it only possible due to a flip of a coin, an accident of birth and a series of lucky breaks?
